•  Introduction

Shang Ming electronics co., ltd. (SMP) is a premier transformer and adapter manufacturer.  Established in 1994, we develop, design, custom-build and mass produce transformers and adapters, which are utilized in televisions, monitors, ADSL,  modems, DVD players, house-hold appliances, communication and various electrical devices.  In particular, SMP has been exporting to international and world-leading customers directly for the past 12 years.

Our management and sales teams operate from the head-quarter in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.  Having a strong team of R&D engineers, we can provide samples, according to customers’ specifications, in 7 days or less.  While the lead-time is 4 weeks in general, we are able to ship the goods  in 14 to 21 days for rush orders.

Our well-facilitated and 100% RoHS-compliant factory is located both in Kaohsiung (Taiwan) and Shenzhen (China).  The 7,000-m factory (75,000-ft) has a monthly production capacity of 8 million units.  With the benefits of being close to material-supply chain and Hong Kong port, we are committed to offering customers competitive prices and high-quality products.

1994

Founded by  the president Mark Su, SMP soon became one of the primary suppliers for electrical giant, Philips Lighting (Taiwan).

1996

During the period from 1996 to 1998, SMP experienced rapid growth and expanded by more than 100%.

1998

SMP established production lines in Shenzhen, China to meet increased demands from global customers.

2000

The quality management system was first certificated by ISO-9002.

2001

To improve the competitiveness, SMP constructed a 7,000-m (75,000 ft) facility in Shenzhen, with up to 800 employees and the production capacities of 8 million units per month.

2002

SMP obtained the certification of UL insulation system for all of transformer products.

2003

The management system was upgraded to ISO 9001:2000.  We strictly adhere to the principles of the ISO philosophy, which is to define our quality policy and to strive for continual improvement.

2004

As the RoHS directive became more and more important, SMP immediately began implementation of upgrades.  Most materials used in production satisfied the RoHS directive by the end of this year.

2005

SMP became a lead-free environment manufacturer in July.

2006

SMP successfully obtained VDE certificates for specific items that proves SMP's consistent efforts in updating the technology and production quality.

2007

Equipped with in-house hazardous substance monitor for RoHS directive.

2008

Applying for ISO14001.
